Well.. this has been a long, long, strange trip. I haven't been online much and I'm glad to be back, a bit. Kinda... sorta.

This is a piece I'll be using for my fimfic that I'll probably never finish. But I'm going slowly. Too many things happening at once just makes everything slower.

This is a really gorgeous illustration. But shouldn't Celestia's horn be glowing if the sun is setting? :)

Actually, you've stumbled onto a very interesting quirk I thought someone might talk about. In this particular story I had in my mind, Luna is having princess duty today. Celestia has a day off with Twilight (Hence, no crown!)

Dude, this is rad.

You've posed them beautifully together; the wings and their heads leaning together are just the right details.

You've improved so much! I'm impressed.
That sky is so lovely, it works because you kept it simple. The sun reflecting on the river is wonderful.
The colors feel good.

My only suggestions, would be to reintroduce a little bit of the warm glow in the sky to the light on the pony figures (like you have on that foreground mist), to unify the painting overall and to pull your eye to them.

Thanks so much! I really appreciate the comment!

It took me so long and so much self-control to actually finish this, but eventually I got there! I must have redone this piece at least two or three times midway through just to get the perspective that I wanted. The only thing I really need to get used to now is how to pick up my pace a bit.

As for the warm glow, I completely agree with you there. I noticed that after I had posted it, but at the time I was just so emotionally exhausted with it, I didn't bother updating it. I think once I'm done with my next piece I'll start going back and adding touch-ups (or completely redoing old work concepts just to get a better feel of things)

Thanks again for the compliment!~
